Showcase of the Arts 2026

Since 1914, the Woman's Club of Royersford has supported education, the arts, and community service. One of the ways we continue that tradition is through our annual Showcase of the Arts program, which recognizes the creativity and accomplishments of local students. <br><br>We invite you to celebrate the outstanding young artists featured in this slideshow. Their talent, hard work, and imagination are truly inspiring. Thank you to everyone who supports our programs and fundraising efforts throughout the year. Your generosity helps us invest in projects that benefit our community. Congratulations to all our participants and winners.

April's Program

Our April club meeting was a memorable occasion, celebrating both our nation’s 250th anniversary and the club’s 112th anniversary. The dining room was beautifully decorated with red, white, and blue banners and fresh floral arrangements, creating a festive, patriotic atmosphere. Two specially designed cakes honored each milestone and added to the spirit of the celebration.

Guests enjoyed viewing scrapbooks that showcased the club’s rich history, highlighting years of achievements and cherished memories. We were honored to welcome Michele Keim, Commander of the Royersford VFW, and Jack Lorenzo, Commander of the Spring City American Legion, who also attended in support of his wife and valued member, Maryann Lorenzo.

A highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Michele Rouzer of the Daughters of the American Revolution, who shared insights into the organization’s history along with engaging stories related to the Declaration of Independence.
The club also held its election of officers. We are pleased to announce the following board appointments: Maryann Gross, President; Peggy McCaslin, First Vice President; Chris O’Rourke, Second Vice President; and Linda Spivey, Corresponding Secretary. These officers will be formally installed at the May Members’ Meeting. We thank them for their willingness to serve and are confident in the club’s continued success under their leadership.

March's Program Presented Janet Miller-Everland, Founder of Julia's Grace Foundation®

At our March meeting, Janet Miller-Everland, founder for Julia's Grace Foundation® spoke about Julia's Foundation®. Julia Grace Everland passed away from cancer in September 2013. Janet spoke about her daughter, Julia's courageous battle with cancer and her pledge to fulfill Julia's last 10 wishes for joy, happiness, and inner peace. To honor Julia’s memory, the foundation was founded to continue her generous spirit and carry forward Julia’s kindness, warmth, and compassion. The foundation is dedicated to spreading her love and the unique comfort of her hugs to others, ensuring that her presence remains felt in the lives of many. Through its initiatives, Julia’s Grace Foundation® strives to keep Julia’s legacy alive by supporting those in need and inspiring acts of generosity in the community. February’s Program Presented Dana Holmes, owner of Home Sweet Homes

The club’s program for February featured an engaging presentation by Dana Holmes, the owner of Home Sweet Homes. Dana’s business operates under the motto, “Simplifying modern living with easy organization.” During her talk, Dana showcased a variety of before-and-after photos illustrating the impressive transformations she achieved in her clients’ spaces. These included closets, garages, sheds, and other areas that often become cluttered or disorganized.

November's Program

Annie’s Home was the focus of November’s program. This organization is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for pregnant and parenting women. The community at Annie’s Home empowers these women, helping them take positive and effective action for themselves and their children.

2025 Holiday Bazaar

The Holiday Bazaar attracted a wonderful turnout from the community. Attendees enjoyed a variety of crafts that were skillfully created by club members. In addition to the crafts, there was an assortment of baked goods, raffle baskets, and many other treasures for visitors to discover.

A special thank you goes to Chris O’Rourke and the many dedicated volunteers who worked together to ensure the event’s success. A special thank you to SFCC staff for their help. The support and participation from everyone involved made the Holiday Bazaar a memorable occasion. See all the photos from the event here!

October's Program

In October, our guest speaker was Laura Kasper, who provided an insightful presentation about Girls Spark. Girls Spark is an organization dedicated to educating and empowering teenage girls, with a focus on supporting their mental, social, economic, and overall well-being. The organization’s mission is to “Spark” a brighter future for young women by equipping them with the tools and confidence they need today.

Girls Spark offers a variety of programs designed to help girls navigate the challenges of modern social life. These include clubs, summits, workshops, and many other opportunities aimed at fostering personal growth and resilience. Through these initiatives, Girls Spark ensures that young women are prepared to face and overcome the unique obstacles they encounter in today’s world.

Royersford Night Out

Royersford Night Out brought the community together. A few members from the Woman’s Club of Royersford participated in this great event. Thanks Royersford for coming out and supporting our town.

2025 Designer Bag Bingo was a BIG Success!

FUN! FUN! FUN! Excitement and laughter filled the air at this year’s bingo event. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our fundraiser. Thank you to all our club members who created or contributed gift cards, raffle baskets, and to our bingo committee members for all their hard work and time. In addition, a big thank you to all the volunteers who helped set up and clean up our bingo event at the firehouse.

LeRoux Dance School Performance

At our December’s meeting, Kelly Stento, club member and CEO of LeRoux Dance School, arranged to have her dance students perform several dance numbers from Celebrate the Season. Their performances were breathtaking and beautiful. Their poise, grace, and performance delighted everyone. Thank you to Kelly Stento, dancers, and parents for giving us the opportunity to have them perform for us.

Storytime:

May's Library Storytime

At our May’s story time Kathy read the book Bark George, a funny, heartwarming tale about a puppy who surprises his mother by making every animal sound except a bark. After the story, the children made paper bag puppets of George and received a small plastic animal to take home as a special treat. Then they enjoyed delicious cookies, shaped like dog treats, baked by Lorraine and Katharine. We hope you and your little ones will join us when Storytime returns in September.
